‘Fess Up Friday

Friday has sneaked up on me again, and I have a confession to make.

I started Camp NaNo with the best of intentions. In fact, I doubled my word goal the very first day. I rocked the marathon last Saturday, finishing my short story, Blood and Roses. And then…

Well. I have been busy. I finished a few articles for www.FamilyShare.com. I applied for a new freelance writing position and learned today that I have been accepted! I need to get professional headshots taken and get my profile written. And I’m still working on getting this website to work the way I want.

So, I’m afraid I’m going to have to bow out for now. I won’t be abandoning my fiction writing completely. I think it’s time to get back into writing flash fiction. It keeps my imagination pumping. And I do have an idea for a new short story that has been tickling my mind. But I don’t think I’ll be able to finish my Camp NaNo goals.

Funny, I don’t think my cabin mates will miss me. Maybe I’ll get a better cabin next time, and they’ll keep my feet to the fire.

I would like to read Blood and Roses. The title is quite intriguing!

    1. Thank you, Nikki! Blood and Roses is the title I gave Nick’s story. I suspect you’ll get a chance to read it fairly soon!
