I remember when I was in elementary school, just learning how to write essays. One of my favorite topics was “If I had a million dollars.” Boy, did I let my imagination run wild! Most little girls wanted a pony, but not me — I wanted a Bengal tiger. One that I could raise from a kitten, so it would be tame and let me ride on its back. I’m sure that the latest popular toy made my list, as did a pool in my back yard and a candy factory.
Some people may whine that a million dollars just doesn’t go that far anymore. Nah, it’s plenty of money to get me my favorite things.
I’d buy me a nice bundle of property near Austin, Texas.
I’d build my dream home.
I’d finance my husband’s business, since we’d need to relocate.
Then, I’d donate the rest to The Water Project. Because, really, how could I enjoy any more luxury knowing there are people without something so basic as clean water?
What would you do with a million dollars?
