What’s New, Pussycat?

A lot!

So, I had this crazy idea that I could plan a wedding and move to a different state within weeks of each other. I am happy to announce that I survived both and am back to my regular blogging and writing schedule. (I bet you didn’t even know that I had a regular blogging schedule, did you?)

First of all, my beautiful daughter and oldest child, K., got married in July.

Then just three weeks later, my family and I moved to Utah. My favorite part of our new home is our gorgeous backyard.

My Fabulous Backyard

It’s 1/3 acre of fruit trees, mature trees, a thriving vegetable garden, and a grapevine climbing the fence between ours and the neighbor’s yard.

I love to sit outside and watch birds. I’m not that good at identifying them yet, but I’ve seen some sparrows, black birds, and swallows. I’ve seen a few red-headed house finches and both male and female goldfinches. And I think I saw a cute little mountain chickadee. I’m going to set up a feeding station outside and take pictures of my visitors so that I can identify them better.

With all that craziness going on, I didn’t get any writing done at all! It was torture. But once I finally got the internet set up, I was back on track.  I’m working on a blog-to-book project first, and then I’ll finally get started on edits for my novel. I bet you can’t wait, eh?

So, what have y’all been up to while I was gone?
